Ubuntu Server 6.10 released

October 26th, 2006 Posted by D Webber

The latest update to Ubuntu Linux has just been released (announcement here), including an update to Ubuntu Server.

I’ve been trying out Ubuntu Server for a client and on our own machines for the past few months… now I’ll get to see if the justly famous Debian tradition of seamless upgrades has been carried on by Canonical. One of the great advantages of Debian , other than the incredible package manager, has been the fact you could upgrade to the newer version by typing one command… usually upgrades succeed without even requiring a reboot. Lets hope Debian-based Ubuntu has the same level of quality.

I’ll post my results of the upgrades once I do them.
