Free XenServer release moved to March 30
Quick follow-up to yesterday’s post:
The download page for XenServer / Essentials for XenSource now says:
“The new free Citrix XenServer will be available on March 30.”
So, we’ll have to wait until Monday. No reason is given for this change that I can find.
Meanwhile, you can still download the current version of XenServer for free along with a license key that apparently enables the high availability and storage management features of Essentials.

I will bet it is because the “open cloud computing manifesto” will be released on that day. It looks to me that Citrix is trying to combat this open cloud computing by releasing its free one on March 30th also. Just a thought.

@Jeff: Interesting thought.
But not another deep think “manifesto”. I guess we’re due though… it’s been 10 years since Cluetrain.
